According to Pragnesh Shastri, managing trustee of the school, the girl had been enrolled at Som Lalit for the past five years. “During recess, students were out of their classrooms. A few students noticed her walking toward the parapet and tried to stop her. One even held her hand, but she broke free and jumped before staff members could be alerted,” he said.
The girl sustained critical injuries, including a severe concussion, head trauma, and multiple fractures. Although arrangements were being made to shift her to another hospital, she succumbed to her injuries around 10 PM on Thursday.
