The subject, identified as Felipe Ruiz, 30 , was the protagonist of the shocking event on Saturday night at the iconic Belize Bridge , which connects zones 6 and 18 of Guatemala City.
Despite the pleas of passersby not to do it and the efforts of municipal firefighters and volunteers to stop him, Ruiz made the drastic decision and threw himself into the abyss.
