The accident occurred on the road connecting Santa Marta with La Guajira, when a private vehicle violently collided with a motorcycle carrying two people.
According to authorities, the impact was so strong that one of the motorcycle's occupants died on the spot, while the other was rushed to a medical center in critical condition.
